Focusing on the heart of the Bangladeshi community; Spice Tour Brick Lane is famous for its vibrant restaurant scene. As a location for Bangladeshi cuisine it needs no introduction; in the heart of London’s East End this tour will give you the opportunity to not only sample of the best cuisine to be had in Brick Lane but also to be guided through the spice stores that dot the route. Whether you know Brick Lane well or are visiting for the first time, our keepers will make sure you leave with a full history of the area, some special recipes, a greater understanding and confidence of using authentic cooking spices and ingredients. Brick Lane is vibrant at all times of the day and is particularly lively in the evenings so for that reason we are able to offer evening and day tours. Tour Information When: Friday-Saturday year round (or by special arrangement on weekdays) Time: Elephant parties leave late morning (11am) and run twice a day to fit in with either lunch or dinner evening meal times. Duration: Approximately 2 hours Meet: Outside Aldgate East station in Zone 1 served by the District, Circle, Hammersmith and City Lines (20 minutes to Green Park) Weather: Elephants don’t mind the rain! So bring a brolly in case of bad weather. Dress: Come in whatever you think is comfortable Capacity: To allow everyone to get a real feel for the Tour we set a limit of 12 trekkers. Food: You can buy and try as we go, however do leave some space for an authentic Bangladeshi meal at the end. Included: One of our knowledgeable keepers will accompany you along the way making sure you get to see and try everything.
